PRODUCT INFORMATION & ROUTINE
This is a thrilling, suspence-packed Russian roulette where a magician lays on a platform with five fierce spikes set above him/her connected to each rope and takes a chance on an audience member to have them pick ropes, one by one, to be lit with fire to slam down on you without accidentally selecting a rope with a fatal spike that comes down on the center of a magician's chest. The 5 fire ropes all go up to a metal funnel and the lines are mixed up so the audience does not know what rope goes to what spike. There is a twist at the end when a magician has no choice but to escape from it.
Four of the five spikes are safe. They are to come down on each side of a magician (two rights and two lefts) and one larger spike is to come down right in the center of a magician's chest.

You gets strapped to the bed with leather belt harnesses: around your ankles, knees, waist and wrist. Then the bed is rolled into position and locked in with pins.
At the back of the prop are 5 small fire ropes in a metal tray with clear separators so one can't catch another on fire. A member from the audience has a fire torch and they choose one and light it. It stays lit and when you asked to pick another about 20 seconds later right before they light it, the one on fire drops unexpectedly and slams the spike to the platform, missing you, of course.
Now they light a second one. Then you ask them to light a third one, but the third one fires off before the second. Just a second later, the second fires off scaring everybody. Finally, they light the fourth one and wait. It slams to the platform. Unexpected timing of releases adds extra thrill, but there is more. What is happening is that we are showing the audience that the ropes can fire off from 5 seconds to 20 seconds and nobody knows when.
This is a great ending.
After all the applause and the audience member is relieved from their task, everyone thinks the routine is over but it's not... Your stagehand puts out the torch, BUT moment's later, the last fire rope magically-unexpectedly lights itself up. You have to get out of the bed before it comes down on you (and who knows when), unfortunately you are still strapped in!!!
You yell to everybody to get back fast as you are trying to escape. Once you undo 4 or 5 buckles fast, you roll off the bed and grab a fire extinguisher mounted to the bed. Before you can get to the rope to extinguish it , it drops the kill spike. Again, the audience does not know if it will trigger in 5, 10 or 20 seconds.

The prop is about 12 feet long when assembled on stage, 4 feet wide and up to 8 feet tall. The bed rolls around separate and hooks in with pins. All goes in one box.
